Woman fatally shot in Cincinnati identified, suspect arrested
CINCINNATI, OH — Cincinnati Police have confirmed the arrest of a man on murder charges following a fatal shooting that claimed the life of a woman in the city's Winton Hills neighborhood.
The victim of the shooting has been identified by authorities as Rachel Counts. Officers responded to reports of gunfire in the vicinity of Kings Run Court, where Counts was tragically found with serious gunshot wounds. Despite immediate efforts to save her life, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene or shortly after being transported.
The suspect taken into custody in connection with Counts' death has been identified as Omarion Horne. Horne has been charged with homicide offenses and is currently being held pending further court proceedings.
